What is OUA?

OUA offers complete services:

• recruiting officials
• conducting training clinics
• assigning officials to games
• supervising performance
• supporting our umpires
• adjudicating protests and disputes

Experience

The Ontario Umpires Association has been supplying officials to local leagues in South-Central Ontario for over 50 years.

Umpires, who have qualified, can work games in one of OUA’s many leagues, or may elect to work exclusively for one organization. OUA has presently over 50 leagues for which it provides officiating services. Financial benefits to officials can be significant.

These benefits are available to any league, tournament or game in South Central Ontario.

Sports Affiliations

Ontario Umpire Association is affiliated with the Ontario Academy of Sports Officials. This organization recruits highly qualified clinicians who will train officials in a variety of sports. Several of our instructors have been certified by, and have performed at pro-sport levels.

There are other organizations that can qualify you as an umpire, but Ontario Umpires have close to fifty leagues to which we can assign you. The financial benefits are surprising.

We are always looking to hire and train new officials in all the sports areas that we cover. Officiating is an exciting and rewarding part of the recreation and leisure industry.
